WEDGEWOOD & WALNUT
BERGEN, ALBERTA
Soft colour, warm wood and hardworking storage come together in a kitchen designed for gathering.
Thoughtful Details
Benjamin Moore Wedgewood Gray brings a soft, understated colour to the cabinetry, while warm wood tones keep the room connected to its rural surroundings.
Walnut floating shelves add richness and a place for favourite pieces to be displayed, while black hardware and lighting give the softer palette just enough contrast.
The result is relaxed and welcoming — a kitchen with character that still feels completely at home in the Alberta countryside.
Quality Craftsmanship
Natural wood brings warmth throughout the room, from the walnut floating shelves to the expansive butcher-block island. Paired with Wedgewood Gray cabinetry, the materials give this kitchen a collected, lived-in character.
Designed for Real Life
The oversized island creates a generous workspace with seating for the whole family, while integrated appliances keep everything needed for everyday cooking close at hand.
Built to Last
A full wall of floor-to-ceiling cabinetry turns unused space into hardworking storage. Thoughtfully planned from end to end, it keeps everyday necessities close without cluttering the kitchen.
THE VISION
This kitchen needed to do more than look beautiful. It needed to be a place where people could cook, gather, work and live — with enough storage and workspace to make everyday life easier.
The design embraces the character of the home rather than competing with it. Soft Wedgewood Gray cabinetry, natural wood and simple black details work alongside the existing timber beams to create a space that feels warm, relaxed and distinctly rural.
